Because of the wonderful customer service and support that we have come to expect(dread) from gogax.com, the wcrpg.com website, including all email accounts, has been deleted. At this time, I have no explanation of why and can get no response from gogax on why this happened or if they can even resolve the issue.
I have re-established the email accounts and email aliases through godaddy. Contact zylor to get access to your account.
Once a new(and reliable) web host is found, the process to rebuild the site will begin.
Status updates will be posted here as they become available.
For the record, the site has been down since Wednesday, March 11th, 2009.
Gogax was notified of the situation via phone(they don't answer the phone, from what I can tell, you have to leave a message), trouble ticket, and a contact form(which is displayed when you are unable to reach them through their online chat support). This was done between 6:45 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. on the 11th, though it is my understand that the site was down much earlier in the day.
As of 7:17 p.m. on Saturday, March 14th, 2009 the only two responses from gogax have been to tell me to open a trouble ticket(which had already been done) and then to ask for the account number because they could not the account(well, duh). Since then, crickets. The only thing I can tell you is that the problem has been turned over to billing(???).
During this time, repeat attempts to contact gogax through contact forms, online chat, phone, and the trouble ticket, have, as you can see, provided no results.
Update 3/15
The latest(and only 3rd email) from gogax, as we enter our 4th day of being down, tells me that my account was deleted on March 11th(wow, I so thankful they contacted me with that revelation) and that the reason this happened was 'probably' because of a request from me to close or cancel the account. If I requested that the site be closed, why would I open a trouble ticket asking where my site has gone. Though, note the 'probably', as it was in their response; looks like they still don't know exactly what happened.
For the record, I did not request the site be closed.
However, at this time, I am only interested in recovering what data that can be recovered; mainly the last copy of the message boards and emails. We will use these backups to supplement our own backups, and then establish a new site. But, based on the complete lack of results so far, I do not have high expectations that gogax will be of any help in the area.
Update 3/15 at 15:36
Gogax has stated they cannot recover any of the data that was lost(site files or email) and they will be issuing a credit for March. Finally, I got a reply that at least let us know what options we have, and options we don't have.
We do have our own backups from October of 2008, so, unfortunately, all message board activity from October forward will be lost.
The next step now is to find a new permanent home for the site, though I plan on keeping my email service on godaddy.
